LogiCore’s Cost/Technical Analysts Provide Exceptional Logistics

Logistics is an ever evolving synergy of commodities that makes the world go round. Logistics, as a business concept, evolved only in the 1950s due to the increasing intricacies of shipping and receiving material and products to businesses. The military has a long, proud history of logistics which can be traced back to the year 1775 when a resolution establishing “one quarter master general for the grand army.” Times have certainly changed toward a more efficient way of doing business throughout the centuries. Lt. Gen. Fredrick Franks, USA, 7th Corps Commander, Desert Storm stated, “…Forget logistics, you lose."

One example of our exceptional logistics services is demonstrated through our Cost Technical Analysts’ support services to the Program Executive Office (PEO) Aviation, which is the U.S. Army manager for the Apache helicopter, several other helicopters and unmanned aircraft systems. This team of analysts works to provide technical data packages to Apache’s senior staff members. They conduct analysis and evaluation of source data, vendor data and customer data to our customer. Our team not only provides technical guidance, but also recommendations in Life-Cycle Cost Analysis to the Apache Attack Helicopter Program Management Office regarding depot level operations.

The customer noted that our analysts have done an exceptional job providing solutions on the Core Depot Assessment (CDA) and the Contract Data Requirements List (CDRL) analysis and have tasked us to support other additional work requirements. As a result of exceeding our customer’s expectations, our analysts have been requested to attend an off-site exercise at a Depot facility to research and gather all necessary Apache data elements for development of cost factors, depot capabilities and manning requirements. They will work to provide technical guidance to identify source data issues that influence Apache product designs and processes.
